A group of Christians showed up at a Chicago pride parade in July.
They were holding up signs saying “I’m sorry that Christians judge you”
“I’m sorry for how the churches treated you” and “I used to be a bible-banging homophobe, I’m sorry”

THIS IS DECENT HUMAN BEHAVIOR

I’m not sure if this is the appropriate avenue of complaint or not. Please let me know if I need to direct it elsewhere to ensure that this sort of negligence does not happen in the future.
This morning (Tuesday 30th August 2011) approx 10:30am I was travelling in my car along roadworks on the Monash Freeway Citybound between South Gippsland Highway and Stud Road. The roadworks crew had signs out to signify that the limit had been reduced to 80KM/Hr.
As I was in the far right lane, a portable 80KM speed sign was lifted up by the wind and into my path. I swerved to avoid (although still clipped the sign - I’m yet to assess the damage), and nearly ended underneath a truck in the process which would have ruined everyone’s day.
Could the appropriate department please forward a reminder to road crews to PLEASE secure portable road signs as a matter of urgent public safety? I was lucky this time, but on retrospect it could have been much, much worse and I would hate for anyone else to be caught in the same situation
Me, describing my morning to a complaints department.
Dr Seuss
This quote helped over the past few weeks of discussions with the old man about my falling out with religion and subsequent atheism.
He matters to me greatly, and it matters that I can have those conversations with him with so many stories of atheists being shunned by their families.
If I had the true wit & wisdom of Dr Seuss, I would have made this post into a rhyme.
